A couple of years ago Naples became well known worldwide because of the very many murders taking place. At the end of the year th Minister of Justice published statistics showing that Milan had more omicides than Naples. A guide I saw many many years ago, published in the States, used to warn American tourists to avoid Naples because it was very easy to get abducted for sex orgies, regardless of the gender... Frankly since I lived in Naples I think I never had a decent sex life. Now, I am afraid will not be last, Naples has become very famous due to th fact that Neapolitans are sinking in their own excrements. The city seems to be loaded, packed, filled with rubbish. This doesn't happen in the centre or in the eastern quarters but still it is nice to imagin a city completely loaded with crap. Well... In other parts of Italy the concept of Nimby has taken the leading role and most of non-Neapolitan accuse my fellow citizens of not wanting any polluting solution in their garden... Is it true? I don't think so. It is well known that the main problem of Naples is the local mafia, the Camorra, and that the Camorra is heavily involved in what we call Eco-Mafia. Funny enough in the worst hit areas a company that used to collect rubbish has been banned from doing that due to links with the Camorra. People are just pushed to hit the roads, they get told what to do adn what to say. I know it's no excuse but I still cannot understand how come out politicians managed to get rid of the Red Brigade while all the bloody mafiosa are still enjoying impunity and a life of luxury. Sod all politicians! Especially the Southeners.
