So, as expected Alitalia board of directors agreed to accept Air France-KLM's offer. This has created some havoc amongst the Northerners including the Northern League that did much to get the Internationl Hub in Lombardy and the Lombard Governor.
The government, majority shareholder of Alitalia has declared that nothing has been decided yet...
Not that I expected a clear cut out of this story and I truly hope that Italians wont be pissing French-Dutch off and we are left with this bunch of crooks eating off our money to subsidised arrogant Alitalia workers and directors.
Already in the past KLM broke a done agreement with Alitalia and it wouldn't surprise me that it would happen again.
Italianity is seen as key in this country while I think that the true reasons is the balance between South and North...
Anyway, I got no trust in a happy ending and if I should choose amongst all possible options I would certainly offer the shares to the employees and if no agreement is reached, take the books in a tribunal. I am keen in giving up my 30,000 air miles for that :))
