Let me tell you about how people change with time.
I think I told you before about my dislikes for Belgium, Germany, China and Brazil. When I was younger I hated the heat and the sun too... I loved smoking and getting drunk even and no physical exercise whatsoever... Now I don't smoke anymore, I drink occasionally and I cannot stand a day without exercising.
I told you that if I should rate the places I love most amongst the dozens I lived in I would rate China, Germany and Belgium at the top and places like Australia that everyone loves, including me, amongst the less likely places I would live in, after having had a 5 months stay over there and heard friends and colleagues sharing my disillusions about it.
Brazil was the one that, so far, had confirmed the negative impression I had since long time.
Things are changing into my life and I might, at the end of this year, give up my current career and start something less hectic, less stressful and less flashy.
I would like to settle somewhere, have friends to go out for dinner with, try to have a normal life and be able to talk about my business to everyone without having to try to explain how I make a living. I would love not to see all those hypocrites, mainly colleagues and clients, that have surrounded me during the last 10 to 15 years,
What is really shocking is that on top of my settling list there is Brazil... The same Brazil I didn't click with; the one with nice people and dangerous places...
I decided to go North, North-East to be precise and, perhaps, start a business in the hospitality field. Something I wanted to do for many years but I couldn't for some family reasons that now seem not to be an impediment anymore.
The place will be chosen during my trips to various locations between 4 or 5 States that I have tracked down and will be visited for weekend breaks between now and October.
Afterwards I will start spending a few weeks in a few shortlisted locations and by Christmas this year I will decide whether try this new adventure or go back to Europe and look for something to do in Belgium, Brussels, that remains my favourite place in Europe.
I just wanted to share this with you guys as an act of thank you for having followed me during the last 12 to 13 months. Even because I am getting lazy and I do not keep in touch with any of you, to talk personally.
Life changes, sometimes for the best, sometimes for the worst. This time, for me, it seems to be just changing.
Hugs everyone!
Oh, by the way, I love the heat now and I hate the cold!
I am trying to come back to life...
