Berlusconi: Judges are threatening democracy

There is no peace in this God forgotten country…

Former PM Berlusconi has been placed under investigation for a story of exchange of favours and votes.

It’s not the first time he is investigated in this country and, I can certainly bet everything I got, it wont be last either.

The story has been revealed by newspaper La Repubblica, a paper that has been a strong opponent of Berlusconi from day one.

The whole affair is linked to the TV world and it’s a story that develops between starlets, RAI officers that want to create their own production companies and money in exchange of political support.

Before this alleged wrongdoing there was another investigation in place concerning the two major players in the Italian TV, RAI and Berlusconi’s Mediaset. False competition and agreements to favour Mediaset above State owned RAI.

But, things are evolving quickly and Berlusconi has been accusing the judicial power and judges to be against him and they are trying to stop his party and the new Democratic Party to reach an agreement on the electoral reform.

Today he declared that he had managed to talk to at least 10 MP’s currently supporting the government that would have been happy to withdraw the support to the Prime Minister Prodi but they have been intercepted by judges, filmed when they were going to the meeting with Berlusconi and threatened…

I thought that the fact that he spoke to God and had been told to be there to save the country was the worst thing he could make up but apparently there is no limit to this guy’s fantasy. During his government he started a few investigations on previous governments for some corruptions taken place during the Serpska Telecom acquisition by Telecom Italia, plus the Mitrokhin Dossier accusing Prodi and other politicians of being spies on behalf of the Soviet Union. He feels vctim of the system and sees strong powers everywhere as if he was representing the weaks in this country. Anyway...

These declarations have attracted the protests of government parties but even his former allies aren’t any nicer to him. Cesa (UDC) says that if this is true, he gets all the sympathy but it wuld be good if he would name people and facts. La Russa (AN) says that if this is true we are assisting to a de-facto coup by the judges.

Frankly I think that the guy has serious troubles, mentally I mean, that in comparison his legal ones are nothing.

Let’s see how it goes during the next few days and I am sure that he will call on God to witness…
