The corporativism of Italy has no boundaries. There is no limit to selfishness in this country. The most democratic state in the world when it comes to do everything to defend the rights of a part. Everything is allowed, everything is permitted when it comes to defend oneself.
So in 3 days the country has dried out the oil from the gas stations and food from supermarket shelves.
This should make people think. This should make our politicians think. How weak our democracy is and how thin is the line between rights of a few and rights od the many.
In France the transportation strike has had a big impact on French people's lives but at the end they had to give up and only then Sarkozy has spoken to them.
In Italy despite the Prime Minister tough words and the orders imposed by the ministery to alt the strike, a defient bunch of truck drivers is still blocking the motorways and assault those who try to get through.
The main issue in this country is that politicians use any battle from a corporation to attack the other political party. It reminds me of the protest by farmers that had t opay fines for producing more milk than allowed in the EU agreements. The right wing parties supported their protest against the centre-left government but once in power they could do nothing but ask them to pay the fines... The support to various categories during the last couple of years to block free competition in some key sectors but during election campaigns the right wing always talks about free market...
Politicians in Italy tend to solve efficiently all problems that stops them from being privileged but they do nothing to stop tensions between the population. They solved in a few years the Red Brigade issue but they haven't solved in 140 years the Mafia problem. Red Brigade was a threat to the Politics, Mafia it's part of its main nutrient...
And people point fingers at each other instead of pointing it at the Establishment.
I am trying to come back to life...
